π FAREWELL TO OUR T-BALL STARSA massive shout-out to our T-ball players who wrap up their season this Sunday! To every kid who picked up a bat for the first time, learned to field a grounder, or just had fun with their mates, you're the reason we do this. We hope you've loved every minute and we can't wait to see you back next season.
π COMING UP: SUMMER SWING SERIESMark your calendars! On
December 27-28, Hylton Moore will host our
Summer Swing Series, a showcase event featuring some of our finest talent taking on the Country NSW U16 and U18 Baseball teams.
These representative sides are gearing up for the National Championships, and they've chosen
our fields and
our players to help them prepare. This is Central Coast baseball on display at its highest level. Bring the family, grab a seat in the shade, and watch the future stars of NSW baseball compete right here at home.
π₯ SENIOR GRADES: IT'S GOING DOWN TO THE WIREIf you haven't been following the senior competition, you're missing a thriller:
1st Grade: Rebels and Bears are deadlocked at .625. Every game from here matters
2nd, 3rd & 5th Grades: Rebels are setting the pace, but nothing's decided yet
4th Grade: Bobcats are out in front and hungry for silverware
With finals just around the corner, this weekend is your last chance to enjoy the game before the real pressure kicks in. Get out there, support your club, and let's make some noise before the Christmas break.
π° BIG NEWS: $3 MILLION INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENTNow for something that'll change the game for years to come. After months of advocacy, the Board has secured in excess of a
$3 million commitment from Council to redevelop Watanobbi and Baseball Park over the next 18 months. Better fields, better facilities, better baseball. This is the single biggest investment in Central Coast baseball infrastructure in decades, and it's happening thanks to strong advocacy from the Board and Council's recognition of our sport's importance to the community.
π YOU SPOKE, WE LISTENEDEarlier this season, we reached out to all 700 members with a comprehensive survey. We were thrilled with a 10% response rate, in surveys like this, that's genuinely excellent engagement. The message was loud and clear: you wanted change, modernisation, and better communication.
On top of the new facilities that you were screaming out for, we've also been busy delivering:
A fresh new brand identity that reflects the modern, competitive organisation we're becoming
An updated constitution that makes it easier for member clubs to have their voices heard and participate in decision-making.
Refreshed rules and competition manuals that align with the modern game and bring consistency across our competitions. All of it can be found
here.
Updated policies and procedures, all properly documented so future CCBA leaders have clear systems to work with.
Re-engagement with Hunter Coast for our junior representative baseball programβthis partnership is already delivering improvements for our young rep players.
A professional financial system (thanks to Gaertner and Associates) that brings transparency and real-time visibility to our accounts.
βΎ MONDAY NIGHT DEVELOPMENT CAMPS: A HITOur Monday night junior development sessions have been packed with enthusiastic young players and dedicated volunteer coaches. The skill level is rising, the energy is electric, and these camps are doing exactly what we hoped, building the next generation of Central Coast baseball talent.
π’ WE NEED YOU: COACHES & UMPIRESHere's where we need your help. We recently had to postpone coaching and umpiring accreditation courses due to low registrations. Great baseball needs great officials and knowledgeable coaches, and that starts with our community stepping up.
We'll look to reschedule these courses in the new year. If you've ever thought about giving back, learning the game at a deeper level, or helping raise the standard of play on the Coast, keep your eyes peeled. We need you.
π ENJOY THE BREAK, THEN BRING IT HOMEAs we head into the Christmas period, take time to recharge with family and friends. When we come back in January, it's all business, finals are on the horizon, and every game counts.
Thank you to every player who's left it all on the field, every parent who's driven to early morning games, every volunteer who's given their time, and every supporter who's cheered from the stands. You make Central Coast baseball what it is.
See you at the Summer Swing Series, and let's finish this season strong.
From all of us at CCBA, we wish you and your families a safe and enjoyable Christmas break. Travel safely, spend quality time with loved ones, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on the diamond in 2026!Play hard, play fair, have fun.β The CCBA Board
